Qaim exists between lands

Imagined in Naarm, made in India, with fabrics that carry stories from across South Asia.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we design, trade, and share our work. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded.

In support of truth-telling and justice, we also pay the rent at paytherent.net.au.

Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.

We also honour the makers, dyers, and craftspeople across India. Especially in regions like Sindh, Kutch, and Rajasthan, whose ancestral knowledge keeps textile legacies alive. Many of our fabrics are found in local Katri markets, having passed through many hands, and some were likely dyed or block-printed in craft-rich areas like Bhuj. From there, they are reimagined and constructed in Noida, Delhi; giving it new life.

Every Qaim piece is shaped by this layered process. By the artisans who came before, the communities who sustain these crafts, and the future we’re building, slowly, consciously, and always in dialogue.
